This painting of professional hunter Roger Raglin is one of my favorite pieces. This is one of a slew of monster bucks taken by the TV personality. The rack on this deer is very royal and framed the portrait of Roger perfectly. The deer hair was painted using a turkey quill brush sporting three long squirrel hairs. Modified acrylic paint was applied in small strokes using the handmade brush. 12 tedious layers of varying shades of individual strokes were necessary to get the look I was after on this featured trophy portrait.
